Public and Private Partnerships developed with National Cybersecurity Center of Excellence
The National Cybersecurity Center of Excellence (NCCoE), part of the National Institute for Standards and Technology (NIST), develops practical cybersecurity guidance in partnership with industry, academia, and government. By bringing organizations together, we identify challenge problems across industrial sectors and develop reference implementations based on existing technology that is demonstrated in the NCCoE Labs. These reference solutions are documented in a series of NIST 1800-series Practice Guides that can be used by industry and government to implement practical solutions aimed at solving specific problems. This presentation will discuss the types of partnerships that the NCCoE has established to date, relevant practice guides published and underway, and lessons learned in implementing the public-private partnership (PPP) model. It will also discuss opportunities for future partnerships and some of the ongoing technical challenges faced by industry and government.
